the team looked efficient on offense Jeremy Hill Color Rush Jersey , defense and special teams while beating a high-quality opponent — the Green Bay Packers — with a final score of 31-17. Naturally, the mood in the postgame locker room was a positive one as the Patriots’ weekly behind-the-scenes clip shows:Following the usual amount of handshakes and high-fives — including team owner Robert Kraft congratulating offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels to his game plan — head coach Bill Belichick took the floor to speak to his team. “All week, short week, we grinded it out,” Belichick told his men. “We came in, did what we needed to do. It wasn’t perfect but we played the game... we tried to play the game the way we wanted it. And that’s a good thing.”“That’s the only way you got a chance against those guys. That’s a good football team you guys beat ,” Belichick concluded before giving the word to special teams captain Matthew Slater to do the traditional breakdown of the postgame huddle. “How do we feel about taking down the Pack Attack?” the 33-year old asked. Awww yeah. The Patriots also released a sights-and-sounds clip from the game, including Belichick and defensive line coach Brendan Daly coaching up the defense when it comes to pass rushing quarterback Aaron Rodgers: The New England Patriots improve to 7-2 thanks to their 31-17 Monday night victory over the Green Bay Packers. The team played arguably its most complete game of the season so far, with contributions coming from all phases of the game. With that in mind, here are the three candidates up for today’s game ball vote:DE Trey FlowersWhile Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was sacked just once all day, the Patriots did a very good job of putting pressure on him and moving him off the spot. The player who led the pass rush was Trey Flowers, who yet again had a big performance. Overall Danny Etling Color Rush Jersey , the 25-year old registered five tackles and was part of the aforementioned sack. His impact, however, goes far beyond the stat sheet: Flowers influenced plays even when not getting to the quarterback, and once more was productive as a run defender.CB Stephon GilmoreNo matter who he lined up against, Stephon Gilmore was again dominant and had another outstanding day. The second-year Patriot — mostly going against Davante Adams and Jimmy Graham early, and later on also Marquez Valdes-Scantling — played a huge role in helping the Patriots slow down a potent Packers passing game and finished the contest with just two receptions for 15 yards given up on four targets. Furthermore , Gilmore was able to pick up the momentum-changing fumble on the first play of the fourth quarter.RB Cordarrelle PattersonWhile other offensive skill position players gained more yards or scored more touchdowns on the day, Cordarrelle Patterson had as big a role as anybody in New England’s victory. Finishing the day with 61 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries, and one 7-yard reception, the former first-round draft pick led a Patriots ground game that again missed Sony Michel. Patterson’s ability to create yards and serve as a serious threat from the offensive backfield kept the defense honest and opened up opportunities for the passing game. With all that in mind, who is your choice for this week’s game ball?
